I like to travel and to learn about history.
I didn’t always enjoy it, however. I remember protesting adamantly about having to walk the Freedom Trail when a family vacation took us out east growing up. But more than a decade later, visiting New Hampshire for a friend’s wedding I thought “what would make the most of my afternoon in Boston? walking the Freedom Trail!”my travel adventures evolved from there.
when I embarked on my first solo overseas trip, I started this blog to help assuage my own anxieties and to update people at home while traveling. I enjoyed what I wrote and how it prompted me to delve deeper into the places I visited upon my return home (that on top of all my pre-travel research!) and I’ve kept up with it to a greater or lesser extent ever since.
